Four Paws Family Pet Sitting Service Agreement

 

General Liability

Four Paws Family Pet Sitting agrees to provide pet and house sitting and other relevant pet care services in a reliable and trustworthy manner. The Client releases Four Paws Family Pet Sitting from any and all claims against the company, its owners, employees, independent contractors and representatives.

Four Paws Family Pet Sitting will take all precautions to safeguard the Client pet(s) from injury, illness, escape, accidents, loss or death. Unfortunately if any of the above events occur, Four Paws Family Pet Sitting is not held liable provided that appropriate care and precautions were taken based on AZ rules and statues.

Client agrees to inform Four Paws Family Pet Sitting of any issues they may have with any and all services provided within 24 hours of the completion of those services. Four Paws Family Pet Sitting reserves the right to refuse service to any Client, at any time, for any reason.

Emergency: In the case of an emergency, inclement weather or a natural disaster, the Client agrees to allow Four Paws Family Pet Sitting to use reasonable judgment for the care of the Client’s pet(s) and home. Four Paws Family Pet Siting will make appropriate efforts to maintain an acquaint level of service during these conditions but reserves the right to adjust the schedule of service based on the sole discretion of the Pet Sitter on duty.

Photography: The Client authorizes the use of their pet(s) photography and video on website, social media and/or marketing materials for promotional business purposes. The Client understands that their pet(s) photo and or video may be taken at various locations and times. Client agrees to make no monetary or other claim against Four Paws Family Pet Sitting for the use of the photography and/or video.

Care Supplies: The Client is responsible for providing the necessary supplies needed for the care of their pet(s) including, but not limited to, a secure harness or collar and leash for walks, poop bags, pet food, food/water bowls, medication(s), identification tags, litter boxes, cat litter and cleaning supplies. Client authorizes the Pet Sitter to purchase any of the above supplies if not provided, so that they can perform their duties at a satisfactory level of service. Costs of all purchases will be reimbursed to Four Paws Family Pet Sitting within 7 days.

Abandonment: If the pet is not picked up within three days after the time specified and/or the Client has not arrived back home in the specified time discussed and/or Four Paws Family management has not been notified of an alternate date within the three day period, the pet(s) will be considered to be abandoned and maybe turned over to the proper authorities as deemed necessary. The Client understands that this does not relieve them from the service fees/payment in full.

Membership

Client understands that if they do NOT subscribe to become a member of the Four Paws Family they DO NOT receive membership pricing or any additional services provided through the Four Paws Family Pet Sitting membership program.

Client understands that if they DO subscribe to become a member of the Four Paws Family and pay the annual membership fee, their membership is good for a year from the date they subscribed. This membership DOES automatically renew, so once their membership expires the client will be automatically charged for their membership when it expires unless they communicate to Four Paws Family Pet Sitting ahead of time that they would like to not renew their membership.

Client understands that as a member of the Four Paws Family they receive the following benefits outlined in the membership benefits below:

Membership Pricing For All Services: Save an additional $5 on all boarding and house sitting services as well as all add-on services to make your own custom in-home bookings

Membership Bulk Service Packages: Buy any boarding and/or house sitting service in bulk and receive 5%. Example: "Buy 20 Nights of House Sitting Get 5% Off."

Quarterly Educational Email/Pet Package: Quarterly you will receive an email with tips, tricks and info on how to keep your pet(s) happy and healthy as well as a package filled with homemade pet treats, toys and local pet-related business coupons!

 

Membership Priority Booking Guarantee: We guarantee priority booking for all members based on the day each online booking request is received.

Membership Referral Program: If you refer a friend or family member to us, you will receive a surprise gift from us after they book their first service.

 

Invitation To Members Only Paw-ty: Annually we host a Paw-ty at our home to simply enjoy your company and thank you for being a member.

 

No Increased Holiday Pricing: If you need to book services with us over a holiday you will NOT be charged the increased holiday rate.

 

Drop Off/Pick Up Services For Boarding/Daycare: Receive 6 complimentary drop-off and/or pick up services each year. We will drop off/pick up your pet(s) to/from your home.

 

Complimentary Neighborhood Walk: A neighborhood walk every other day is included in the member annual fee for house sitting services and every time for drop-in visit services.

 

Medical

Client accepts responsibility for all medical expenses and other damages resulting from an injury to the pet sitter, owner, independent contractor, employee or other persons or other animal(s) caused by the Client pet(s) or negligent act.

The Client gives permission to Four Paws Family Pet Sitting to approve Veterinarian treatment up to $1,500 in the event of an emergency. The Client agrees to assume full responsibility for payment and reimbursement for any and all veterinary services rendered. Four Paws Family Pet Sitting assumes no responsibility for the loss or injury of any pet(s) and is released from all liability relating to transportation, treatment and expenses.

Four Paws Family Pet Sitting requires all clients to provide their Veterinarian and emergency contact information in their client portal prior to any services being accepted. In the event of an emergency, Four Paws Family Pet Sitting will make every attempt to contact the owner, the secondary owner and the emergency contact on file. In the event that no one can be reached, Four Paws Family Pet Sitting will make every attempt to transport the Client pet(s) to the Client’s Veterinarian on record. However, if the Veterinarian is not available, Four Paws Family Pet Sitting will bring the pet(s) to the first available Veterinary Clinic.

In an effort to prevent the transmission of disease, Four Paws Family Pet Sitting require all pets to be current on vaccinations and that the appropriate documentation is provided through the online client portal prior to any services being accepted. If a Client does not keep their pet(s) records current Four Paws Family Pet Sitting reserves the right to refuse any and all services booked by the Client until the records are updated and provided in the Client portal. We require a copy of a Rabies certificate for all dog boarding and doggie daycare clients due to the rules and regulations directed by Maricopa County Animal Control.

Dog vaccinations required are: Rabies, DHPP (Distemper/Parvo) and Bordetella.

Cat vaccinations required are: Rabies, and FVRCP.

If the Client pet(s) is found to have fleas/ticks, the Client gives permission for Four Paws Family Pet Sitting to provide the appropriate medicated treatment and to pay for any treatments as well as any additional services that maybe required.

Booking/Payment

Client(s) agree to place all booking requests through the online booking platform on the website fourpawsfamily.com. This booking portal is provided by Kennel Booker, a kennel software. In addition, the Client agree’s to create their own online client profile in the secure client portal. This is required for both member and regular client(s) of Four Paws Family Pet Sitting. Any requests not made through this online booking portal will not be accepted.

Client agrees to authorize Stripe, in online payment platform, that allows Four Paws Family Pet Sitting to receive secure payment through the internet, to process any and all credit card charges. Stripe is provided through Kennel Booker. The Client agrees to the terms and conditions of Stripe including any and all fees associated with each transaction.

Client(s) agree to add a card to their client portal. This is required so that Four Paws Family Pet Sitting can charge the 20% deposit required to confirm all bookings and to charge in case of a cancellation/update to an existing booking based on Four Paws Family Pet
Sittings cancellation policy.

Client(s) understands that if a Member client and a Regular client request a booking at the same time for the same time based on our Membership benefits, the Member Client will receive the requested booking as long as all other booking/payment policies are met. Four Paws Family Pet Sitting will do their best to ensure all booking requests for Member and Regular clients are met.

Client understands that a 20% deposit of the total payment for dog boarding, doggie daycare, drop-in visit and house sitting services is required within 48 hours after Four Paws Family Pet Sitting accepts a booking request. If the 20% deposit is not received during this allocated time frame, the booking request will be cancelled. Client acknowledges that the remaining balance of any and all services is due immediately following the completion of the service by Four Paws Family Pet Sitting.

Client will incur a $25 charge for each returned check as well as any and all banking fees connecting to the returned check.

Client agrees to pay all charges associated with each service.

Client understands that Four Paws Family Pet Sitting has a targeted service area including Wickenburg, Congress, Morristown, Wittmann, Sun City and Surprise, AZ.

 

Client recognizes that because of this, Four Paws Family Pet Sitting charges an additional mileage charge if you are located more than 10 miles from the center of Wickenburg, AZ. The Client agrees to pay this additional mileage charge per service booked. An additional mileage charge maybe waived if the Pet Sitter's residence is within 10 miles of your residence.

Holiday

Applicable holidays are as follows: New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. During holidays, there will be a $10 add on fee to all services. Please book as far in advance as possible.

Cancellation/Changes

If the Client(s) must cancel any service they must contact Four Paws Family Pet Sitting directly. Cancellations may not be done online through the Client(s) portal. Four Paws Family Pet Sitting reserves the right to charge the Client 100% of the total fees if the Client cancels with less than 24 hours prior to any scheduled service. If the Client cancels any service two weeks prior to the scheduled service, they will receive their 20% deposit back in full. If the Client cancels any service less than two weeks prior to the scheduled service the Client will NOT receive their deposit back.

Client agrees to email Four Paws Family Pet Sitting at contact@fourpawsfamily.com for any and all changes needed to be made to an existing service booked. Four Paws Family Pet Sitting shall accept or deny the change(s) within 48 hours of receiving the email. All changes, will take effect in the client portal and the Client will be able to access them at any time.

There will be no refunds for early returns from vacations. Four Paws Family Pet Sitting will be as flexible as possible based on unforeseen circumstances (family emergency, inclement weather, etc.).

Dog Boarding

Client understands that, at Four Paws Family Pet Sitting, dog boarding is defined as a personal, one-of-a-kind service where we welcome their dog into our home and treat them like family from the moment they arrive and have them in our home for up to 24 hours per day.


The Client(s) agrees to pay for any and all damages to Four Paws Family Pet Sitting boarding residence and possessions resulting from their pet(s), except those arising from negligence on the behalf of Four Paws Family Pet Sitting. The Client agrees to the charge of an additional night of boarding if they pick up their pet(s) after 3:00pm on the scheduled pick up day.

Doggie Daycare

Client understands that, at Four Paws Family Pet Sitting, doggie daycare is defined as a personal, one-of-a-kind service where we welcome their dog into our home and treat them like family from the moment they arrive and have them in our home for a duration up to 8 hours per day. The Client understands that doggie daycare is for up to 8 hours a day. The Client must abide by the drop off and pick up times discussed with Four Paws Family Pet Sitting. If the Client dog(s) spends more than 8 hours in doggie daycare, the Client agrees to the charge in full of a dog boarding night rate.

House Sitting

Client understands that house sitting is defined by Four Paws Family Pet Sitting as a personal service where they allow a Four Paws Family Pet Sitter to look after their home and provide custom in-home pet care for their pet(s) for 14-16 hours a day. The Client agrees to the charge of an additional night of house sitting if they require the Pet Sitter to be in their home after 3:00pm on the scheduled departure day.

This document gives Four Paws Family Pet Sitting and its representatives authorization to enter the Client’s listed address as needed to perform agreed upon pet and house sitting services. Client is aware that for a house sit, a Pet Sitter will be present in their home for 14-16 hrs a day which includes the Pet Sitter sleeping overnight in their home. The Client understands that the Pet Sitter will not leave their pet(s) alone for more than 6-8 hours at any given time during a house sit.

The Client understands that the Pet Sitter will leave their home in the same condition that it was left in for them. This includes the Pet Sitter cleaning sheets, towels, dishes, vacuuming, wiping counter surfaces, windows and more to ensure your home is in the same condition as you left it.

The Client agrees to provide a designated safe and clean area for the Pet Sitter to stay in their home. This includes providing the following items: clean sheets, bed and bathroom. The Client is not obligated to provide the sitter food.

Client understands that each house sit includes the Pet Sitter taking out the trash, recycling, taking packages inside, checking the mail and watering any plants that are requested. The Client also understands that the Pet Sitter will pick up any and all poop from their pet(s) during all neighborhood walks, in the backyard and in the litter box.

The Client understands that the house sit includes the Pet Sitter taking care of their home and pet(s) based on the instructions the Client has in their client portal. The Client agrees to keep their client portal information up to date so that the Pet Sitter can provide the highest quality of service.

The Client understands that after the end of a house sitting service they will receive a handwritten note from their Pet Sitter with details on how the service went!


The Client understands that they will receive updates from their Pet Sitter at least every other day on how their pet(s) are doing during their house sit.

Four Paws Family Pet Sitting is not liable for any loss or damage in the event of a burglary or other crime that should occur at the Client(s) residence while under this agreement. Client agrees to properly secure their home prior to leaving the residence. Four Paws Family Pet Sitting will re-secure the home to the best of its ability at the end of each and every visit.

Drop-In Visit

Client understands that a Drop-In Visit is defined as a personal service where you allow us to come into your home for an hour at a time and provide custom in-home pet care for your pet(s).

Client understands that each drop-in includes the Pet Sitter taking their pet(s) on a neighborhood walk, taking out the trash, recycling, taking packages inside, checking the mail and watering any plants that are requested. The Client also understands that the Pet Sitter will pick up any and all poop from their pet(s) during all neighborhood walks, in the backyard and in the litter box.

The Client understands that for drop-in visits the Pet Sitter will be present in their home for the duration of one hour. The Client understands that the Pet Sitter will leave their home in the same condition that it was left for them. This includes the Pet Sitter cleaning sheets, towels, dishes, vacuuming, wiping counter surfaces, windows and more to ensure your home is in the same condition as you left it.

The Client understands that for a drop-in visit the Pet Sitter will take care of their home and pet(s) based on the instructions the Client has in their client portal. The Client agrees to keep their client portal information up to date so that the Pet Sitter can provide the highest quality of service.

The Client understands that after the end of a drop-in visit service they will receive a handwritten note from their Pet Sitter with details on how the service went!

The Client understands that they will receive updates from their Pet Sitter at least every other day on how their pet(s) are doing during their drop-in visit(s).

Four Paws Family Pet Sitting is not liable for any loss or damage in the event of a burglary or other crime that should occur at the Client(s) residence while under this agreement. Client agrees to properly secure their home prior to leaving the residence. Four Paws Family Pet Sitting will re-secure the home to the best of its ability at the end of each and every visit.

The client agrees to not hold Four Paws Family Pet Sitting liable for any and all damages to the home or safety of the pet(s) while in this agreement if they allow anyone else but the pet sitter to occupy the residence while in contract for a service with Four Paws Family Pet Sitting. It could be impossible to prove responsibility if the Client authorizes others to have access to their home and pet. If this is the case the client acknowledges that they are putting the safety of their home, pet and pet sitter at risk for any unforeseen situations.

Pet Sitter Information

Four Paws Family Pet Sitting reserves the right to terminate this contract at any time if the Pet Sitter, in his/her sole discretion, determines that the Client’s pet(s) poses a danger to their health or safety and that of other pets and/or other people. If concerns prohibit the Pet Sitter from performing their pet sitting responsibilities, Four Paws Family Pet Sitting will attempt to contact the Client to arrange alternative care. If the Client cannot be contacted, the Client authorizes Four Paws Family Pet Sitting to place the pet in a licensed kennel with all charges and fees arising to be the responsibility of the Client.

The Client understands that the Pet Sitter will arrive and depart a house sit or drop-in visit based on the booking specifications confirmed in their client portal. The Client is required to provide the correct booking information for each booking request prior and agree to not hold

Four Paws Family Pet Sitting liable for any incorrect information entered into Kennel Booker, the booking software.
The Client understands that they are not guaranteed their Pet Sitter preference if they are a member or regular client. Although Four Paws Family Pet Sitting will do our best to accommodate their Pet Sitter requests.

The Client is aware that their services may need to be provided by an independent contractor chosen by Four Paws Family Pet Sitting but is subject to the Clients approval.

By signing this document the Client is formally acknowledging that they are the actual owner of the pet(s).

The terms of this document apply to all pets owned by the Client. If the Client gets another pet(s) after the date of this signed service agreement they MUST sign a new service agreement to include the total number of pets they own.

By signing this service agreement the Client acknowledges that they have read the above terms and conditions. They know, understand and agree to all terms stated above.
